Metro Nashville Public School students are eligible to receive out-of-school credit for taking music lessons from TMTA teachers.

The guidelines require:

• at least a 30-minute weekly lesson

• periodic group lessons

• a minimum of 150 hours practice recorded during 30 week of study

• a study of repertoire, technique and theory, and testing and evaluation by audition at the end of the school year.

Separate guidelines are given for students taking at Blair School of Music.
