Your NAMTA Membership
To make the most of your NAMTA membership and help shape the organization, attend events, share your ideas with the board, and actively participate to make the NAMTA community fit your style of teaching.

General Meetings
We host general meetings for the entire NAMTA membership in September, November, February and April. Every odd year, NAMTA organizes a workshop in the Spring.
Meetings take place on Friday mornings and last for about two hours. Each get-together will include a presentation followed by a small reception with the opportunity to fellowship and meet other local area teachers. This is also a great place to find out more about NAMTA’s performance events and get assistance, if needed, with the registration process.
If you are looking to get involved with NAMTA… our hospitality chair greatly welcomes and appreciates any assistance.
Board Meetings
The NAMTA board meetings take place in August, January, and May. The board consists of NAMTA members volunteering their time and are willing to serve the organization. Most positions are a 2-year commitment.
Open positions are announced via email and at the general meetings. Anyone is welcome to serve!
NAMTA Performance Events
NAMTA has several performance events, and the registration process varies depending on each event. See below for more information.
In general, we try to keep the cost low for each event and depend heavily on the assistance of teachers of participating students to make each event a success.
